It takes 6 transactions per loaf of bread, one for each ingredient and one to sell the finished product to the market. 253 x 6 = 1518. I only have 1500 transactions and I still need to buy extra firewood for my house, sell my eggs, and sometimes sell chicken meat, bones, and manure.
So I guess I just wanted to warn you guys against buying the third baking upgrade if your employees are already quite skilled in baking. It's better to use the money to buy another workshop which doesn't use a lot of ingredients which is useful when there are no cereals available.
I made another mistake of planting soybean during summer on the plot where I want to build the winery. So of course with the weather being so poor this year it's not even close to maturity and I can't build the winery until I harvest or bulldoze the soybean... I'm just hoping we get a few sunny days before winter starts. Thank God tomorrow's weather forecast is sunny. I still have a little hope of harvesting before the first freeze.
Tami, I have an employee with 25 baking skill so sometimes I also don't have enough transaction.
ReplyDeleteIn my other CoOp, some of us place 13 7* sourdough bread ($294.58) daily and request for 100x yeast/salt/food bacteria. Other members who have extra transaction can buy from market ($244)and exchange with them, so that their member can bake more bread the next turn. I think, you can do the same.
You can keep some wheat so that you mill them every other turns and for those last remaining endurance.
ReplyDeleteI built an oilmill today for the Experienced Autumn Oil-making Challenge. So now I just let one employee bake and the other one makes oil.
ReplyDeleteMaking oil/essences isn't as profitable as baking unless you grow your own fruits/nuts but I want to win this challenge for the coop so I don't mind making less profit.
Your suggestions are good but I think I'm at the point where I should try to diversify my farm with different workshops instead of just focusing on the bakery. Not only because of the transaction limit but because I want to join more challenges and do the other workshop accomplishments.
It's kind of nice seeing more buildings on my farm too. I'll take a screenshot and post a picture of my farm later. I think it would be nice to see other member's farms too so I'll start a new post for that.
