Is anyone willing to help out with making organic fertiliser for the new members? Every season I rot 600 pomace/chicken bones to make organic waste for myself and another 1000 to make OFE for the new members but that isn't going to be enough any more as our coop keeps expanding.
I would hate to see the new members growing 5* crops for lack of good fertiliser or even worse, they might end up using chemicals which would cause pollution for many turns.
I think if we all pitch in a little bit, we can make enough to support them all. No one is obligated to donate organics and it's just something I started doing on my own to help the coop. If it's too hard to make fertiliser for them then I think it would be nice if the veteran farmers could donate even small quantities of stuff for rotting like 7* pomace, bones, rennet, or whey. I have enough silo space to combine and rot them.
As a relatively new member I have benefitted hugely from Tami's generosity in supplying good quality organic fertiliser to get me to a point where I am nearly ready to put in my own organic workshop. I've got quite a stockpile Tami so you don't need to include me anymore, I'll be making my own soon I hope. I will return the favour by adding some surplus to the exchange board for newer members

ReplyDeleteTo Tami, I don't have extra transaction to put those pomace to exchange board, but I able to rot them myself and make extra fertilizers. Every year, I rot 2800 things for organic waste.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I suggest everyone keep at least 3x 5* VSOP for curing, to avoid the quality drops on your crops. Pest will reduce quality of crops meanwhile the fungal reduce quantity. Quantity is not a matter, but quality is very important... By using 5* VSOP, you are not only curing the pest but increase the pest resistance to 75%(for cereal without protection). So, it protects those crops from second infestation, which further reduce the quality from 7* to 6*. Let me know if anyone need 5* VSOP or 7* OFE.(Sell to me if you have 6* or 7* herbs.)

ReplyDeleteI can make some fertilizer...maybe 200 a game year? I'm still figuring out how to grow my crops to get OOF enough to have manure and bones of my own but have plenty of pomace and waste with my wines.
