Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I am new here too and actually reasonably new to the game also. I originally started playing this game for my 6 year old son. This one turned out to be a bit too slow for him. So I took over and he keeps asking me for updates on how its doing.

I look forward to working with all of you and would appreciate advice on how to proceed.
I have some missions due soon, but am not sure what I need to do to request for help.

  2. Welcome to the coop. :)
For advice on how to proceed... I see on the coop menu that you have a windmill and $500+. I advise you not to spend money on any chicken coop upgrades yet. Just move them outside to let them increase quality.
Keep milling every turn and save the money to buy a bakery. When you harvest your wheat in a few turns you can plant corn. Corn grows well in summer and can be used to make feed as well as milled to make more money. When there's no wind, you can fish.
Don't worry, you will be able to afford a bakery before winter starts. During winter just bake sourdough bread every turn. The bakery makes money fast so you will be able to save up to buy more land before next spring starts.
Don't forget to keep enough cereals to make feed for your chickens during winter.
For missions, as Perk said, just write a new post on this blog to ask for stuff. Or you can check the coop menu in game to see if someone has what you need. Then you can pm them directly.

  4. Agreed with Tami.

When I first started, I was doing all sort of things without any plan for the future. After I finish reading the FFG forum including the player guide (Tami's Guide is recommended reading), only then I started to gain knowledge on the rules, techniques and how to go about playing the game. In fact for the Asia Server, I restarted 3 times.

Yes, as Tami said, and I can confirm it that building a Bakery as soon as possible and baking sourdoughbread is the best way to making money. Building you revenue generator is important so that you can generate cash every turn to buy whatever you want and enable to expand you farm quickly.

You don't have to plant wheat; buy the flour, salt, yeast and wood from the market and make the bread. Only problem is during end winter or spring, flour or wheat might dried up from the market. Just switch to making Tortila or RiceBread.

After you got the bakery, keep upgrading the Equipment Technique until Level 3 (max). This will reduce the endurance used to make the bread which will translate in able to make more bread and more profit.

I have followed this route as recommended by a few people on the FFG Forum and has not regretted it. I'm making about $1500 profit per day and I'm only 1 1/2 game year old. After you got that cash generator going, you can do whatever fancies you, either animals, crops or workshops.
