Farm Pictures - Esamus's Farm

My farm is just a small one as I'm only in my 2nd year on FFG. In addition to the start-up buildings and livestock, I have two silos, windmill, cow barn and bakery.

There is one empty plot as its too late to plant anything. I have my fingers crossed that I can harvest the two wheat fields before first frost. They are now at 86% growth.

I have cherry and apricot planted and was initially thinking of doing brewery. When these trees are harvested, I will build the brewery. After some thought, I've now decided to concentrate on the cows and build the dairy after the cows have reached 3* or 4*. For this, I plan to plant all the cereals required for their feed rather than depend on the market for cereal availability. Planting my own and making the feed will save on transactions.

I also face daily transaction limitations as my helper Kaya Sylvestine is already Level 25 in baking and myself is Level 16 baker and my Bakery is already at maximum equipment upgrade. Although I have levelled up to Experienced, I did that to get an additional 100 transactions. So far, I can manage without hiring another employee. When my cows grows up and my wheat has been harvested, I will then need another assistant to make the feed and mill the wheat to flour for baking use. I could save some transactions there.

  1. Very nice. The trees look great when they reach 100%. I'm also planning to put a second silo in the same place you put yours.

I have soybean at 88% right now... also praying for good weather before first frost.

I think you only need 4 plots to grow all the cereals for optimum feed (not organic though). You can double crop 4 cool cereals in spring, then 4 hot cereals in summer. You'll only have to buy the last cool cereal from the market. I suggest buying either the alfalfa or barley because those are available on the market even during winter.

  2. The problem will be the freshness/expiry of the feed when you combine cereals harvested in Summer and those harvested in Autumn. The freshness will be the lowest of the lot and maybe cannot last for 1 year. But I think this can be overcome by upgrading the silo for freshness upgrade when making the feed.
